The San Onofre Community Engagement Panel (CEP) will hold a workshop May 6 to discuss long-term storage and management of used nuclear fuel at the San Onofre nuclear plant.

Per Peterson, a University of California, Berkeley professor who served on the President's Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future.

BACKGROUND:

The public is invited to observe. The workshop will be webcast live on www.songscommunity.com. SCE announced June 7 that it would retire San Onofre Units 2 and 3, and begin preparations to decommission the facility.
